Fill the clothing bag with your change of clothes for the finish line.

The Stiegl trucks will be located at the Agricultural Vocational School Bruck, near the race office. -

The Glocknerkönig is scheduled to take place in all weather conditions – even in the event of snowfall on the mountain. Relevant weather updates will be announced via the loudspeaker system in the starting area. Each participant can then decide whether they wish or are able to participate.
Weather forecasts are prepared in advance by many online weather services. In recent years, it has often been found that such general weather services provided completely inaccurate information. Please rely exclusively on this website for accurate weather updates for the Glocknerkönig. The forecast is created using both reliable weather services and input from experienced local mountain experts.
In the case of particularly adverse weather conditions, the race management reserves the right to shorten the course or cancel the event altogether to ensure the safety of participants. In such cases, no refunds or partial refunds of the entry fee can be made.
You are in a high alpine region, so cold temperatures are to be expected during the descent, even in good weather. A windbreaker, a cap under your helmet, gloves, etc., are recommended. In poor weather, appropriate rain and cold protection is strongly advised.
For organizational reasons, shuttle service to the valley is only available for visitors who have purchased an ascent ticket. Transporting bikes to the valley by bus is not possible.
E-bikes are not permitted at the Glocknerkönig. Random checks will be conducted at the start, finish, and during the race. Participants using an e-bike will be immediately disqualified and removed from the race. In such cases, the entry fee will not be refunded.
If you are unable to participate in the race due to illness or an accident and know someone else who would like to take your place, you can transfer your starting spot for an additional fee of 10 euros.
You have received a voucher for an entry to the 28th Glocknerkönig? Please send us the voucher along with your personal details (name, address, date of birth, etc.) to glocknerkoenig@bruck-fusch.at. We will send you an access code for registration.
For safety reasons, only registered participants are allowed to use the requested route (from the local authority (district authority) or the road maintainer (Großglockner Hochalpenstraße AG)) = Dorfplatz Bruck to Fuscher Törl/Edelweißspitze. Cyclists without a bib number are not permitted during the event period. We appeal to your understanding and fairness.
The Book about the Race
The author Andreas Trautwein, himself a long-time participant in the Glocknerkönig, has created a very special insight with his debut work. The book will be available on Saturday, May 31, at the merchandise tent on-site.
Willy is fed up with wasting his precious free time on the couch. That's when he meets Timo, an avid road cyclist. Timo convinces Willy to try cycling, and Willy's enthusiasm for the sport quickly grows so much that, out of curiosity, he participates in the "Glocknerkönig" race with Timo. He takes quite a beating, but his determination is sparked, and the idea of crossing the finish line ahead of Timo is born.
The Glocknerkönig takes you right through the Hohe Tauern National Park, one of the most magnificent high mountain landscapes on Earth. Countless plants and wildlife live here.
The role of national parks is to protect this unique ecosystem.
We also ask you to treat the environment with respect. Please do not throw trash (banana peels, energy gel wrappers, etc.) on the road or into nature. Thank you for your cooperation!
