28th Glocknerkönig - June 1, 2025

The Glocknerkönig is a cycling event open to everyone, held on the Großglockner High Alpine Road, which is closed to traffic from 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM starting at the toll station in Ferleiten. Participation is possible without a license, and amateurs, professionals, and hobby cyclists are all welcome. There are combined categories for road bikes and mountain bikes.

The two routes, Ultra and Classic, both begin in the town center of Bruck an der Großglocknerstraße and end at either Fuscher Törl at 2,428 meters or Edelweißspitze at 2,571 meters. Riders face an elevation gain of 1,672 meters over 27.3 kilometers or 1,815 meters over 28.9 kilometers, with gradients of 10 to 12 percent.

On Sunday, June 1, 2025, the 28th Glocknerkönig once again challenges all cycling enthusiasts to push their limits and conquer the legendary Großglockner High Alpine Road on two wheels.
