Start blocks
Eligibility for the 1st start block is exclusively for participants who completed the Glocknerkönig CLASSIC 2024 in under 0:55:00. Additionally, participants who achieved a time of under 1:45:00 in the Glocknerkönig CLASSIC 2023 or under 1:50:00 in the Glocknerkönig ULTRA 2023 are eligible. Participants holding a valid racing license on the event date are also eligible. Please send a copy of your license by email in advance.
Eligibility for the 2nd start block is for participants who completed the Glocknerkönig CLASSIC 2024 in under 1:00:00. Additionally, participants who completed the Glocknerkönig CLASSIC 2023 in under 2:00:00 or the Glocknerkönig ULTRA 2023 in under 2:05:00 are eligible.
The 2nd start block may also include participants who have achieved top placements in other prestigious races. However, a request must be submitted for this. More details are provided below.
The remaining participants will start in the 3rd start block.
Please note that in 2024, due to the course shortening, there was only one joint Classic category, and all ULTRA participants had to be classified as Classic starters.
The allocation to the start blocks is done automatically based on the recorded race times from the previous two years. Requests for exceptions can be submitted in writing via email until May 18, 2025. Please attach a screenshot of the result to the email (mark the name or result).
When requesting an exception, please provide the following information:
-
Official result list from a reputable cycling race from the previous or the year before last.
-
Submit this list exclusively via email.
-
Do not send a link, but a screenshot with the marked name and ride time.
Pre-seeding requests can only be processed if the three requirements mentioned above are met.
